Is this an AI image generator?
No. Every drawing is built from maps, open data and editable geometry, so you can change the composition, colours and relationships yourself. The 3D model at the top of this page is made the same way.
What happens after 30 days?
The pass ends by itself. Nothing is charged again, and we email you three days before. Your projects stay in your browser and the four free analyses keep working. Buy another pass, or a full year of Max, whenever you need it.
I bought before passes existed. Do I lose anything?
No. Every purchase made before 30-day passes stays permanent, exactly as you bought it.
Can I use the drawings commercially?
Yes. Every paid plan includes commercial use for your own projects, clients and publications. Keep the OpenStreetMap attribution on map-based drawings.
Studio or school licences and invoices?
Write to [email protected] with the number of seats and your billing details. We reply with a quote and an invoice.
What can I export?
Site Analysis exports PNG, editable SVG and vector PDF, plus an A3 report. Floorplan also exports DXF. 3D Site exports Rhino 3DM, OBJ and GLB.
Where is my work saved?
In this browser. Export a project backup before clearing browser data or moving to another device; your purchase restores anywhere with your code.
Do I need to install anything?
No. MapToNap runs in any modern browser. A laptop gives you the most room for drawing and editing.
Can the visual analysis use real street photos?
Yes. The Visual Analysis board (Max) draws numbered view cones on the plan and fills each with a real street-level photo from Mapillary, taken where the site can really be seen past the buildings in front, with the site picked out in red. The photos are CC BY-SA 4.0 and every photographer is credited on the board.
What is Deep Analysis?
Eight studies of the site that go beyond diagrams: 24 hours of real sun and shadow, walking isochrones, isovists and visibility graph analysis (VGA), the impact of a proposed design on sun, views and walking, the 15-minute city, an hour-by-hour footfall model, space syntax (how well each street is connected) and WHAT IF?, a 3D model of the real site where you change a building, close a street or add a block and measure what changes. It runs in your browser on real map data, is part of Max and is free to try on the Paris sample.
Who makes MapToNap?
MapToNap is made by a team of architects based in Berlin, trained at Politecnico di Milano (6th in the world for Architecture in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026) and Sapienza University of Rome, with eight years of experience in architecture and time at a Bauhaus summer programme. The diagrams follow the conventions architects use on real review and competition boards, because the people who draw them have made those boards themselves.
